Board of Directors

Ultramar's main body is its Board of Directors. It is composed of four members. It meets once a month, where all relevant matters related to the performance and progress of the organization are discussed.

Its main functions include safeguarding and strengthening the organization’s purpose and values. It ensures compliance with legal and ethical standards. It defines, validates and monitors the execution of each SBU’s strategic plans. It supports managers and strategically contributes to the general development of the company.

Executive Collaboration Committee

This committee's mission is to support the management of the company's President. It is made up of the Corporate Managers of Development, People and Sustainability and Controller.

Our History

In 1952, the captain Albert von Appen founded Ultramar as a provider of maritime agency services to Hamburg-Amerika Linie y Norddeutscher Lloyd. Providing services related to foreign trade, mainly in maritime agencies and representation of shipping companies.

Over the years, the company has expanded both, in different business segments and geographically with focus in the Americas, where it is a leading player in all core segments.
