The main objectives of the meeting held on April 17 were to align and review the strategic focuses and challenges for 2024 and, above all, to connect the different teams.
The event was held at the Sheraton Hotel in Santiago and began with a space for presentations where the company's President, Richard von Appen spoke.
“I thought that the information given by Richard was very precise. The company's purpose is clear and we must all be aligned with it. He was emphatic about the commitment we must have, especially in the different areas of the company,” said Carolina Puen, Controller Manager, Ultramar.

Once the presentation stage was over, the attendees enjoyed a lunch where they shared among the different management teams and were able to discuss points such as the role of the corporation in relation to the Business Units.
For Gonzalo EscobarUltramar's People and Sustainability Manager, this was a key aspect of the meeting: “Our role is to provide advice and, above all, to provide confidence. Our role is to give advice and, above all, to give them confidence. We want the company's policies to be approved by the rest of the Business Units and for them to be able to represent themselves or feel confident in being able to turn to the Corporate Department,” he said.

To close the meeting, they carried out a teamwork activity, which allowed them to strengthen ties and confidence: “The dynamics that we did helped us to be able to execute many of the things that were discussed during the meeting. I would say that this is the most important thing, to have a space with the different areas to be able to share in a more personal and direct way", said Francisco Opaso, Ultramar's Development Manager.

It was a full day for many of the attendees, as expressed by Daniela Mardones, from Ultramar's Audit Management: “I think that the participation of all the areas and our union in resolving different situations makes us super strong as a Corporate, work colleagues, and also as professionals”, she concluded.
With this strengthening of team relationships and the exchange of guidelines, the employees are ready to meet this year's objectives.
